Overview of Our Risk Management GIS Services

The GPC Group utilizes risk management GIS to combine hazard inventories with analytical tools for assistance in hazard avoidance, the development and documentation of emergency response plans, disaster response, post disaster recovery and site monitoring and remediation.

The planning, design and administration of disaster-resistant communities requires extensive data and methods for avoiding or mitigating the many natural and manmade hazards which may exist. These may range from floodway hazards, unstable slope conditions and other adverse geotechnical conditions to known hazardous material storage locations and historical relict hazardous waste sites. Risk management GIS combines hazard inventories with analytical tools to assist in hazard avoidance, the development and documentation of emergency response plans, disaster response, post disaster recovery and site monitoring and remediation.
