Eye On Earth Summit - Abu Dhabi 2011 - Bringing Together the World's Environmental and Societal Information Thought and Action Leaders

In January 2011 GPC was awarded a contract to support the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD), Abu Dhabi Global Environmental Data Initiative (AGEDI) in the planning, design, and execution management for the Eye On Earth Summit - Abu Dhabi 2011.  The Summit has been conceived as a global intergovernmental and multi-stakeholder event to convene the thought and action leaders in the worldwide environmental and societal information networking movement, to converge consensus on key areas of mutual importance, and to collaborate towards strengthening existing initiatives and filling gaps towards more informed policy making and a sustainable future.  This Event is an extension of the Abu Dhabi Global Environmental Data Initiative (AGEDI) following nearly 8 years of program development, and in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program and other important international partners.  The Summit is being planned December 12 - 15, 2011.  To stay in touch with the Summit development process during 2011, see www.eyeonearthsummit.com
